"My husband and I spent an idyllic week at Villa de l'Ocean with close friends. We loved it! The house itself was very quiet and comfortable with wonderful views of the ocean. We did not use the air conditioning but slept to the sound of the waves every night. As the seas were fairly rough that week, we enjoyed the pool more than expected. Each night we watched the sunset from the pool area with a rum punch. As there was little light pollution, the stars were spectacular!"
"At Villa du Soleil, you are essentially right on the ocean. The patio overhangs the water & the crashing waves are your soundtrack. Lots of places to hang out... the pool area is lovely & private, the sundeck has both full sun & shady areas, as well as a gorgeous view of the ocean, and the covered patio is very spacious & well appointed with outdoor furniture. Plus, you essentially have a private sandy beach too. The 2 bedrooms both have AC, the wifi was great & there's cable TV too . But overall, there's a rustic feel to the place. You're about a 15 minute walk from Treasure Beach itself & about a 5-10 minute walk to Billy's Bay. There is a cookshop & little bar pretty much right at the end of the long driveway, so you can sample some local flavour. Shantel does a great job of cooking breakfast/dinner & tidying up -- but she leaves you on your own for the day. Overall, this place offers a ton of privacy & relaxation with postcard views of the ocean."
"We just came back from the villa de la sable and we had the best experience. The property is your own little piece of paradise! It's gorgeous and the staff is exceptional! We walked everywhere and felt completely safe. The people of billy's bay were warm and welcoming! We can't wait to return! There's no place else I'd want to vacation in jamaica ever again!"
"Things we loved: The outdoor spaces including the bed on the verandah overlooking the bay. Shantell, the cook, who made A-mazing food (oxtail, curried goat, escoveitch fish). Quiet place. The beach (able to swim right there). Nice walk into "town." The drinks at Jake's are unbelievable (fresh lime juice!). Able to coordinate tours with Rebecca directly - great, safe drivers."
"Best vacation ever. I loved the home, the beach and the pool. The best part, however, was the staff. So friendly, so accommodating. Thank you so much. Hope to be back."
"The reviews are quite descriptive and we can confirm that everything said is accurate. This place is NOT for small kids or people who cannot handle steps because the steps are central to this place. There are steps up to the huge, clean, pool with a palapa and pano view. There are steps down to the huge veranda with its own palapa, shower and pano view. And a few stairs down to the beach! The surf was rough but they say it was the Christmas wind and that it can be quite tranquil. The warm breeze was awesome! We spent almost all of our time on the covered deck. We can also confirm that Shontel is an excellent cook and made our stay particularly pleasant. She consulted with us about our preferences and included local treats. Delicious!"
"Shantel's cooking was wonderful and included fish stews, jerk chicken, coconut curry lobster, and many fresh Jamaican fruits and vegetables. Papa kept the pool clean and the grounds looking great, and arranged a boat trip to the Pelican Bar. The current can be strong in front of the cottage but was fun to swim against for exercise. The beach was great and the pool was a nice option for swimming as well. The veranda overlooking the Caribbean Sea was our favorite hangout and we ate our meals there. All in all a great place to relax and enjoy a true Jamaican vacation! Treasure Tours did a great job organizing day trips and managing expenses with credit card charges. We hope to return to paradise next year."
"-Perfect- is the word that I have been using to describe our stay at Villa Du Soleil. We loved everything about it! It was so relaxing and a perfect setting to reconnect as a family. We loved the deck because we could be on the ocean without worrying about a sun burn. I actually found myself kind of hoping for rain so that we could have that cozy feeling playing cards or reading books. For any other beach vacation, I would pray for never ending sun but Villa du Soleil is perfect in any kind of weather"
"My husband and I just returned from our first stay in Treasure Beach and Villa Du Soliel. It was amazing and we will be back. The house, yes it's rustic but that's the charm. If you are looking for a five star resort, this isn't it. But that is what makes Villa Du Soleil wonderful. It is a home. There are two bedrooms and one bathroom. The kitchen area has anything you would need. We didn't feel like we were guests visiting, it felt like our little oasis during our stay. Shantal, and Everton (Papa) were fabulous. They take great care of you while you are there. The view from the verandah is breathtaking. I spent so much time out there just taking it all in. The beach is literally steps away. We were there after the torrential rain/flooding so the sea was rough when first arrived but cleared up soon after. There is plenty to see in the reef. Listen to Shantal and Everton's advice when it comes to swimming the reef, they know it well! We very seldom saw another soul on the beach. We also spent quite a bit of time at the pool."
"We did a lot of research (a LOT!) in advance of our visit to Treasure Beach and our stay at Villa du Soleil but we were still amazed by just how perfect a choice it was for us! Treasure Beach is a lovely community and Villa du Soleil was the beach-house of our dreams. Beautiful, private beach and the verandah was amazing. Many thanks to everyone at Treasure Tours and especially to Everton and Shantel (what a great cook!) for giving us vacation memories that will last forever. We very much hope to return one day!"
"First time on a trip to Jamaica my husband had to bring work with him and the Wi-Fi worked great!!! The inside of the villa is nondescript – two bedrooms (comfortable beds), one bathroom, kitchen (is well appointed with anything you may need – including new blender this year for our banana daiquiris), TV area with couch and love seat and an indoor eating area. It is the outdoor areas which we love – the veranda is awesome. Beautiful views of the sea and down the coastline. If it isn’t too windy we will eat every meal out there. The sunsets are fantastic and at night the stars can really put on a show. There is also a sun deck with a thatch cover (nice to sit under during an occasional afternoon rain) with stairs from the sun deck down to the beach – we only saw a couple other people at the beach the whole time we were there. The pool area - I am now spoiled by having my own pool. Great place to hang out and relax for an afternoon with a banana daiquiri. The pool gets both sun and shade and has a nice view of the sea."
"Stunning panoramic sea views with sunsets to die for, the location over the water doesn't get better than this and for ocean lovers like us it was perfect. The lovely veranda is really the only room we used in a weeks stay, it's difficult to tear yourself away ! After seeing the land from the sea by boat I'm fairly sure this is the only villa in Treasure Beach that is built out over the water. Although we didn't have kids with us any families with water babies would find this an exciting outdoor playground. Another review mentioned the steps, but I think this would only be an issue for very small children."
"We loved it! It was wonderful to be in a quiet, neighborhood setting after the hustle of Negril - the people in Treasure Beach are very friendly and neighborly and happy to stop for a chat (not to sell you anything) as you pass on the road. Indoor space: - Villa would sleep 4 comfortably, although there is only 1 bathroom. As we traveled as a couple this did not bother us. The beds were very comfortable. The bedrooms were not particularly spacious (mostly filled by a bed and dresser) but there were good sized closets to hold luggage, and we spent most of our time outside anyway! - The villa is situated perfectly to catch both the east/west and north/south breezes, so we did not miss having A/C during the day (only the bedrooms have A/C). Being cold sleepers however A/C at night was a must - both of the bedrooms have strong A/C."
"My husband and I recently spent a great week at Villa Du Soleil. The location is great and we loved the veranda - it is over the water and is a great place to sit and listen to the waves crash in, watch the sunset and have dinner. You can also get to the beach very easily by simply going down the stairs off of the sun porch. There are so many places to enjoy on the property - the pool, the beach, the sun porch, the hammocks, the veranda (we spent a lot of time on that veranda - day and night) -even if you never left the property you would not feel like you were sitting in the same place. Loved being able to keep the windows open at night, but there are air conditioners in the room if you are too warm or don't want to keep the windows open. Being from Michigan, we can't get enough fresh air in February."
"Arriving in Treasure Beach for the first time was amazing. The people are friendly and kind. Our villa was outstanding. Dining and sleeping over the waves. Daily swims in the freshwater pool maintained by Everton. Lounging in the hammocks. Toasting 14 sunsets followed by the wonderful dinners prepared by Shantel. True, deep relaxation. To say it was difficult to leave would be an understatement. Thank you Rebecca, Nickell and Debbian for your excellent care. We look forward to seeing you again...soon!"
"Viewing the property online does nothing for the beauty that awaits you when you walk out on the veranda of the property. The ocean waves gently crash beneath the house and the peaceful quiet is very welcome. Shantel prepared absolutely wonderful meals which were consumed on the verandah over looking the sparkling water. The pool was kept clean and inviting by Dave and we spent a lof of time in the pool after checking out the ocean each morning. Afternoons spent reading in the hammocks or up on the verandah provided the relaxation we desired after the hustle and bustle of home. overall, it was a vacation from a typical vacation. Highly recommended if you know how to truly relax Mon!"
"The sound of the waves first called me to rest. My bedroom perched over the sea, my lullaby each night. It was the one and only permission I needed to let go of all that was before and be with only what is now. After a very restful sleep on very comfortable beds, I wandered through the relaxing decor, to make my only decision each day: should I begin my day swimming in the sea, or, in the pool. The sea won out each morning, followed by us lying out in the sun on lawn chairs overlooking the deep blue. Then it was to the pool for a leisurely crawl and dreaming the mangoes above would be ripe enough to fall in with us. At some point, I would crawl into the hammock with my favorite book, while my friend picked up her sketch pad. Or, I would sit on the very comfortable chairs on verandah and write, while she slept. We always came back to watch the sunset together - golden, fiery sunsets. No two sunsets were the same."
"It was my 8th time in Treasure Beach, First time in Villa de l'Ocean. Great rental, one of the best in TB. Spacious villa, lush surroundings, great swimming pool, even if there are guests staying at another villa, the territory is big enough to enjoy privacy. Ideal for two couples. Tonarge is a great cook and a wonderful person. Rebeca and Debbian from Treasure Tours are very accommodating. Missed you already! Definitely would love come back!"
"Sparkling Waters is an amazing place to stay. We have stayed there multiple times and have never been disappointed. I highly recommend this property. My favorite thing to do is relax on the pool deck overlooking the beautiful Carribean Sea. If you want to be adventerous there are plenty of day trips/tours to take. A trip to YS Falls is a must. Miss Petrina and Miss Tonarge will take wonderful care of you and your entire group. Rest assured you will have terrific time!"
"The Villa de la Sable was even better than expected. The pictures do not do it justice, with an great pool, wonderful places for hanging out on the grounds, and an amazing staff. We were four adults and one small child and it was a great size."
"Wow -- we couldn't have asked for a better place to spend the xmas holidays. We rented Villa de la Sable and Villa de l'Ocean for 9 days, bringing together two families (three couples, two singles, two babies). Each house had two bedrooms with queen beds, views of the ocean, and an adjoining balcony. Plus two bathrooms with showers, and an upstairs hallway with a big futon/sofa that functions as a single bed (definitely big enough for an adult) -- plus each house has a baby's crib. The houses are separate enough to provide plenty of private living/reading/eating space for each family, with a pool and a gazebo between the houses for socializing with everyone."
"Petrina was kind enough to schedule our meals around the times we knew we would be home. The first night we arrived, we were exhausted after our flight and drive. Rebecca and the grounds keepers were ready and waiting to greet us. It was relieving to know Petrina had already prepared our dinner and there was nothing to worry about. We lucked out as there was no one else renting out the other homes, which meant we had the pool all to ourselves! The oversized pool and jacuzzi overlooking the crashing ocean waters was like a scene from a movie. We spent time reading on the hammocks and enjoyed the simple life. Even though the grueling summer heat would normally be uncomfortable, there was something about having all of the windows and doors open with the ocean breeze flowing in. We had air conditioning in the bedrooms, which was very important for us while we slept. Overall, with the views, private chef, and serenity, you cannot beat this property. We can't wait to return and enjoy our next trip."
"I were planning with my friend's family to book the place for 2 days with small children. However, due to some issues my friend had to cancel. As the booking was already made we decided to go by our self. It turned out to be an excellent weekend away from the hustle bustle yet excellent location and setting. The place is well maintained and cook service was just excellent. The only word of caution is the small secluded beach that is also shared by another house near by. Beware of the dogs as they are real bad so to say. The dogs should not be left open as guests can be harassed by dogs, being strangers. Pool is super cool with kids or adults."
"Village itself is very mellow and the friendliest place you can imagine. All entertainment and restaurants are about a mile down the road 20-25 minutes of a pleasant walk. Beach is just down the stairs not the most luxurious but very private and we loved it. There is another beach about 5 min walking other way and it is really nice too. To make the story short if you like a quite vacation have a small kids don't want to do much of the activities and just lay down on the sun relax and eat a good food you will find a lot of serenity in that place and comfort in those villas. It is a little treasure itself inside of the treasure beach..."
"We loved our stay at Villa de la Sable, loved the Treasure Beach area and are very glad we chose it for our first visit to the island. The people in the Treasure Beach area are incredibly warm and welcoming. We did our research prior to choosing Treasure Beach. Many people we'd spoken to who had been to the more popular resort areas of Jamaica warned us of some of the downsides (crime, aggressive beach vendors mainly). Everything we read about Treasure Beach turned out to be true. We walked everywhere, day and night. We often had entire beaches to ourselves. The locals are so friendly."
"If you are looking for crazy parties and discos, this probably isn't the place. But if you want some time to get away and be at peace, than the spectacular scenery, easy lifestyle, good friendly people, simple delicious food (either in your own home, or at excellent local casual restaurants) will leave you wanting to stay longer and long to come back."
"If you are looking for a relaxing and luxurious vacation that won't blow your budget, Villa de la Sable is the place. This two bedroom villa, located in Treasure Beach, sits above the water, affording you miles of view, of the Caribbean Sea. You'll be greeted by Petrina, your housekeeper and chef and Leandy, the grounds keeper an go to guy. Pop open a cold Red Stripe and enjoy the tour of your vacation retreat, with the smells of jerk chicken or lobster thermador tantalizing your hunger. The villa is a quaint two story with two bedrooms upstairs, sharing a balcony, overlooking the sea. Downstairs you'll find a good sized kitchen, large living space, dining area and a sitting place perfect for slapping some dominoes. Grab another Red Stripe and take a look around outside. The pool will blow you away, I mean, it's huge with great sitting areas all around and a deck below the pool level that is gigantic and a wonderful place to watch those incredible Jamaican sunsets."
